Tom “T-Bone” Wolk, who played bass for nearly 30 years with Daryl Hall and John Oates and also recorded with Elvis Costello and Billy Joel, died Saturday (Feb. 27) of an apparent heart attack. Wolk was to have performed with Hall and Oates today as part of the one-year anniversary show for NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.”
The band is Chris Schlichting-vocals, James Beattie-guitar, backing vocals, Chris Dawson-guitar, Tim Rails-Drums, and Michael Byers-Bass, backing vocals. Seasons After self released their first album “Through Tomorrow” in June 2008. Their sound is very unique blend of heavy guitar sounds and amazing thick vocals.
Puddle of Mudd’s first song was “Control” Everyone in the crowd was singing along at the top of their lungs. It was a great start for what was to come. After a few songs like Famous and Spaceship the crowd was going freaking nuts. Towards the end of the show POM did AC/DC’s “T.N.T”. Wes had the entire crowd fist pumping and what energy, I haven’t been to a show in a long with a crowd that was this intense.
I realize that Sick Puppies are covered on a general basis on Xtreme Music, but I think that they deserve to be covered much more in depth. Sick Puppies have been one of my favorite bands for a couple years now, though they have been in the industry much longer.
Seventh Vail is a four piece wrecking ball of energy from Northern Virginia. Founding members Camden Unglesbee and JC formed with Alex Vinny and Ken Barber in the summer of 2009. After only playing a handful of local shows immediate public notice began to follow as the band opened for Veil of Maya at Jaxx nightclub. Each member from the band brings a unique dynamic to the table, that when combined creates an amazing blend of modern hardcore punk attitude with heavy metal tendencies. Leaving crowds with jaws on the floor, Seventh Vail is a band with a no holds barred mentality.
