If you have not heard of Rev Theory yet, don’t worry because you will. They formed in 1997 out of Massachusetts, and since then Rev Theory has toured extensively with some of Rocks biggest names. They have toured the United States on multiple occasions and have even made some ventures over to Europe. They’ve opened for bands like Sevendust, Hinder, Saliva, Papa Roach and Evanescence. They have put in their time, and they are finally getting their recognition. And if any band deserves it, it’s Rev Theory.
They are one of the most hardworking bands on the scene today. Whether its Monday, Tuesday or Friday night, chances are that Rev Theory is playing somewhere. They have even started headlining as well, and are one of the main draws to this years Cruefest, along with, of course, Motley Crue.. Their 2008 album, Light it Up continues to build momentum and their latest single, “Far From Over” is still climbing up the charts thanks to loyal fans. Rev Theory is encouraging their fans to call in “Far From Over” to their local radio station and the fans are delivering. But Rev theory is more then just a hardworking rock band. Their latest release is a compilation of their favorite tunes played live, acoustic, at The Gibson Lounge. It’s an album that proves the bands talent for songwriting. The arrangements hold true to their original, more hard hitting versions, but they bring the melody to the forefront.
Rev Theory is a band that can ignite a crowd of wrestling fans, amp up an audience before a band like Buckcherry, or deliver as a headliner. They are a young band with an appetite, and there is nothing slowing them down. Their fan base is growing and they are only getting better as band. If you have not yet heard of Rev Theory, get ready, their coming.
