Rammstein, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da, Song Leak, pirate, download

Does Rammstein mean ‘Greed’ in English language? Why, you ask. When Rammstein’s song entitled “Liebe Ist Für Alle Da” was leaked onto the Internet last July, the bands management (Pilgrim) went all ape-shit.

According to Laut.de, Rammestein’s management has threatened legal action against any websites that post any links to the “copyright-infringing” material. As a result, Europe’s largest Rammestein fan site Rammstein-Austria.com is currently directing all of its traffic to its forum. Other Rammestein fan sites have also reportedly been told to refrain from posting links to the song, which is expected to appear on the band’s new studio album.

In 2004, Rammstein’s management reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Berlin-based Rammstein fan site RammsteinFan.de demanding the removal of several copyrighted images and ringtones.

Okay, so I get it. Rammstein and management give a piss about their fans. They want to bleed every dollar they can from fans, fine… But why be such pricks about it? They were getting free exposure; those who like the track will likely buy the album anyways. Unless, of course, Rammstein–Pilgrim feel the album sucks and don’t want people to get a taste of what’s to come.

I have downloaded the song and listen to it myself. I would actually buy the album if the other songs are as good. The song “Liebe Ist Für Alle Da” is not amazing by any means, but it is worth a listen–and worth the money for the album, if (and that’s a big IF) the other songs live up to the same standards.

Lets end this note with the word of the day: Greed. In German it’s pronounced ??am?ta??n [Rammstein].

If you want to hear the song, just go to thepiratebay.org and download it yourself.
