Metallica performed the song “The Shortest Straw” live–The World Premiere of The Shortest Straw at Metallica’s World Magnetic Tour live at the Bell Centre In Montreal, Quebec, Canada September 19, 2009.

The studio version of “The Shortest Straw” was included on Metallica’s 1988 album “…And Justice For All”, which has sold over eight million copies in the U.S., according to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America). It was the band’s first full-length LP to feature bassist Jason Newsted, who joined the group following the death of Cliff Burton.
