Madleaf is a intensely talented “All Star Band” from Athens Greece. After meeting in a tattoo parlor they had the epiphany of seeing a leaf falling from a tree. The name “Madleaf” grew out of that experience. The band consists of Jim Lord (vocals), Nick (guitars), Dorian (bass) and George (drums). They began recording their album “Sinners” in 2007 and released it in January 2008. They chose to release the album initially on I tunes and other on-line stores as a digital edition (mp3). Later their Label Poison Tree Records released it as a CD.

Manson’s last album, The High End of Low, didn’t do as well as he, or his record company Interscope had hoped. It isn’t clear if that is the reason behind the split, but Manson, and his long time record company will be parting ways. After debuting at number four, The High End of Low went on to record the lowest record sales for Manson in over a decade. But perhaps it’s good news for the aging shock rocker.

If you haven’t seen Surrogates with Bruce Willis, which apparently many of us haven‘t, you can catch all of the films highlights in the Breaking Benjamin video, “I Will Not Bow.” The video was released a few weeks before the opening of Surrogates to feed the building appetite for Jonathan Mostow’s big screen adaptation of Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele’s science-fiction series. Despite the amazing video, Surrogates failed to meet it’s high expectations. But that has nothing to do with Breaking Benjamin.
