Tom “T-Bone” Wolk, who played bass for nearly 30 years with Daryl Hall and John Oates and also recorded with Elvis Costello and Billy Joel, died Saturday (Feb. 27) of an apparent heart attack. Wolk was to have performed with Hall and Oates today as part of the one-year anniversary show for NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.”

For the past few weeks, Joe Perry has been on a quest to fill the shoes of former Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler. It has been reported that both Billy Idol and Paul Rodgers have been asked to join the band, but neither seem enthusiastic about the proposition. Classic Rock Magazine reported that a third singer was added to the list of possibilities, a Mr. Chris Cornell.
