If you haven’t seen Surrogates with Bruce Willis, which apparently many of us haven‘t, you can catch all of the films highlights in the Breaking Benjamin video, “I Will Not Bow.” The video was released a few weeks before the opening of Surrogates to feed the building appetite for Jonathan Mostow’s big screen adaptation of Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele’s science-fiction series. Despite the amazing video, Surrogates failed to meet it’s high expectations. But that has nothing to do with Breaking Benjamin.
The video now serves to emphasize the highlights of the movie. It builds a small story around the band using the spectacular images from the film, and a view from the World Trade Center building 7. The video even ends with a somewhat spoiling look at the twist behind the film.
“I Will Not Bow,” was released on the Surrogates soundtrack but has also now found it’s way onto Breaking Benjamin’s latest album, Dear Agony. The Dear Agony album is Breaking Benjamin’s fourth album and has received critical acclaim. It has also reached #4 on the Billboard charts and is the driving force for Breaking Benjamin’s recent tour.
The hard rocking heavyweights are on their way across the country on a tour promoting the album until Christmas when they’ll make their way over seas. They have some fresh company for these shows featuring young talent like Adelitas Way, and the fast rising Rev Theory. Sick Puppies will also join in on the fun for select shows.
Dear Agony doesn’t offer anything to new from Breaking Benjamin. It is the same formula that they have used on their previous albums but it is still better then most of what is released today.
If you still haven’t seen Surrogates, don’t waste your time. Check out the Breaking Benjamin video to get all of the stunning spectacles without any of the bad story lines.
